BriefRelay 是用于整理项目背景、生成可复制交接内容并切换至 AI 标签页的 Chrome 扩展。使用扩展无需注册 BriefRelay 账户。本政策仅说明扩展的数据处理方式。

处理的信息与用途

  • 你输入的项目名称、目标、背景与约束及本次任务草稿，用于整理和预览交接内容。
  • 你自愿设置的 ChatGPT、Gemini、Grok 或 Claude 官方域名下的会话链接，用于打开指定入口。
  • 当前选中的项目、显示字号和项目更新时间等状态，用于恢复使用状态。
  • 当前标签页及上述四个 AI 网站已打开标签页的 URL，用于识别当前网站、查找并切换标签页。扩展不读取页面正文或聊天消息；除非你主动保存为项目入口，这些标签页 URL 不会写入项目数据。

你填写的自由文本和保存的链接可能包含个人或其他敏感信息，请自行决定输入什么内容。

本地存储、复制与传输

项目数据和设置保存在当前 Chrome 配置的扩展本地存储中。首版没有开发者服务器、账户同步、分析或广告追踪；扩展不会自动向开发者发送项目内容或标签页 URL。

只有你点击“复制上下文”时，扩展才把拼接后的文字写入系统剪贴板。扩展不会代你粘贴或提交给 AI 服务。剪贴板内容的保留由设备和浏览器环境控制。

第三方 AI 服务

AI 快捷入口会切换至已打开的标签页；若没有匹配标签页，扩展会在你确认后打开对应网站或已保存的会话链接。打开网站时，浏览器会向该服务发起正常的网页请求。只有你自行粘贴并发送交接内容时，该服务才会收到这些文字；此后的处理适用该服务自己的隐私政策。BriefRelay 不读取第三方聊天正文，也不保存其账号密码。

保留、修改与删除

数据会保留在当前 Chrome 配置中，直到你在扩展内修改相关字段或卸载扩展。你可以编辑项目文字、清空任务草稿或移除保存的 AI 链接。当前版本没有导出、跨设备同步或扩展内一键删除全部数据的功能。卸载扩展会清除其本地扩展存储，但不会删除已复制到剪贴板或由你发送给第三方的内容。

用途限制、更新与联系

BriefRelay 对通过 Chrome 权限获得的信息遵守 Chrome Web Store User Data Policy 的 Limited Use 要求，仅用于上述交接与标签页切换功能；不会出售数据，也不会用于广告或信用评估。数据处理方式变化时，我们会更新本页面及生效日期。隐私问题请联系 jameshen@gmail.com。

BriefRelay Privacy Policy

Effective September 26, 2026

BriefRelay is a Chrome extension for organizing project context, preparing text to copy, and switching to AI tabs. No BriefRelay account is required. This policy covers the extension only.

Information handled and purpose

  • Project names, goals, background, constraints, and current task drafts that you enter are used to compose and preview handoff text.
  • Optional conversation URLs that you save on the official ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, or Claude domains are used as project shortcuts.
  • The selected project, font size, and project update timestamps help restore your workspace state.
  • The current tab URL and open-tab URLs on those four AI domains are checked to identify the current service and find a tab to switch to. BriefRelay does not read page bodies or chat messages. It does not save a tab URL to project data unless you explicitly set it as a shortcut.

Text and links you choose to enter may contain personal or sensitive information.

Local storage, copying, and transfer

Project data and settings are kept in Chrome extension local storage in your current browser profile. Version 0.1.0 has no developer server, account sync, analytics, or advertising trackers. The extension does not automatically send project content or tab URLs to the developer.

When you click “Copy Context,” the assembled text is written to your system clipboard. BriefRelay does not paste or submit it to an AI service for you. Clipboard retention depends on your device and browser environment.

Third-party AI services

An AI shortcut switches to an existing tab or, after your confirmation, opens the provider website or a saved conversation URL. Opening a website makes a normal browser request to that provider. The provider receives handoff text only if you choose to paste and send it; its own privacy policy then applies. BriefRelay does not read third-party chat bodies or store their account passwords.

Retention, editing, and deletion

Data remains in the current Chrome profile until you edit the relevant fields or uninstall the extension. You can edit project text, clear a task draft, and remove saved AI links. This version has no export, cross-device sync, or in-extension one-click delete-all feature. Uninstalling the extension clears its local extension storage, but does not remove text already copied to your clipboard or sent by you to a third party.

Limited use, changes, and contact

BriefRelay’s use of information received through Chrome permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It is used only for the handoff and tab-switching features described above, and is not sold or used for advertising or credit assessment.
